The Harvey Wallbanger is a cocktail that was popularized in the 1950s and 1960s. The origins of the drink are somewhat shrouded in mystery, but it is believed to have been created by a bartender named Donato "Duke" Antone at his Hollywood nightclub, Duke's Blackwatch. The drink is made with vodka, orange juice and Galliano, an Italian liqueur. The Harvey Wallbanger got its name from a customer who would often come into the bar and order the drink, and then proceed to "bang" his head against the wall after having a few. The drink gained widespread popularity in the 1970s and it is said that it was one of the most popular cocktails of that decade.
